I enjoy creating both sun-catchers and windows for the home and office. I have taught classes in my home studio. All potential commissions and services are negotiated on a case by case basis; feel free to contact me if you think I might be able to create a special piece for you.
Custom Windows allow light to fill the room, while keeping a measure of privacy. I have done bathroom windows, sidelight windows and some decorative octagon windows.
While a stained glass piece can be hung on a wall as a decoration, they are frequently hung in windows to catch the sun's rays and illuminate your home in a spectrum of color. A commissioned project can be of just about any size or subject. I have designed a banjo for a musician, a rose for an avid gardener, a rooster, and a Celtic Love Knot. Most any project is possible.
For my son's wedding, I created twenty-six candleholders. This was an interesting challenge, not only in dealing with a three-dimensional shape, but also in creating a piece in such quantity. I also have a simple business card holder, which currently resides on my desk at work. If you are interested in a project that goes beyond the norm, contact me and we can discuss the possibilities.
I have taught two 8 week sessions to interested students. They created 3 pieces of increasing detail during the classes. Currently, I do not have another session scheduled, but if you are interested you could drop me an email. Enough interest could lead to the scheduling of a session.
